Kishkindha Kaandam trailer: The official trailer of actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali’s upcoming mystery film Kishkindha Kaandam is here, offering a glimpse of a thrilling journey through the wilderness of Kerala. Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, the 149-second trailer opens on a light note with a charming background score. “Except Hanuman and Sugriva, the entire army of monkeys resides here,” Ajay (Asif Ali) says, referring to his native place. It is soon revealed that Ajay works for the Forest Department.

As the trailer unfolds, its tone shifts to reveal a sense of mystery. We quickly learn that the central conflict involves Ajay’s father Appu Pillai (Vijayaraghavan), a former Army officer. While the trailer teases a gripping narrative, it also promises to explore the lush landscapes of Kerala, where the lives of several characters become increasingly intertwined. The tagline, “A tale of three wise monkeys,” adds to the intrigue.

Kishkindha Kaandam marks Dinjith Ayyathan’s second directorial venture after the satirical comedy-drama Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019). The official for the upcoming movie states: “Strange events unfold in a monkey-inhabited village, prompting a newlywed pair and forest officials to embark on a mission to uncover the root cause of the peculiar disturbances.”

Also starring Jagadish, Ashokan, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Nishan, among others, Kishkindha Kaandam is produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments. The story, screenplay and dialogues are crafted by Bahul Ramesh, who also served as the film’s cinematographer. The movie’s editing is handled by Sooraj ES, with music composed by Mujeeb Majeed. Kishkindha Kaandam will hit the screens on September 12, as an Onam release.
