Not only these personalities but the toppers included, Brahmacharimayum Nistha, Jai Kumar Bohra, Ashore, Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy, Ishita Kishore and Ashish Kumar.
Here are some of the important points that toppers shared:
–Brahmcharimayun Nishtha, an MBBS student from Manipur University who previously anchored a session of the PPC, shared that the main stress regarding board exams comes from the extensive syllabus.
–“With such a vast syllabus, how will we cover it? How many hours do we need to study? These thoughts can be very overwhelming. It’s important to realize that we cannot retain everything in one go. You should identify specific topics to focus on, prioritize what needs to be covered first, and then revisit those areas. Additionally, pay attention to questions from previous years,” Nishtha advised.
–Radhika Singhal, the CBSE topper of 2022-23, emphasized, “We shouldn’t worry about what questions will be asked in the exam; instead, we should concentrate on our preparations and have faith in ourselves.”
–Ashish Kumar Verma, a student at IIT Delhi and a former PPC anchor pointed out that everyone’s preparation methods are unique.
–“There is no one-size-fits-all strategy. For example, I didn’t find making notes particularly helpful, so I developed different strategies that worked for me. Everyone should find what resonates with their personal study habits,” he explained.
–Armanpreet Singh, who topped the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance exam last year, advised students not to be daunted by the syllabus’s volume.
–“We often fall into the habit of counting the number of pages in a chapter before we start studying. This can negatively affect our mindset. I believe we shouldn’t focus on the volume at first; instead, break everything into manageable parts. We should also emphasize our strengths rather than our weaknesses, which should guide our prioritization of topics during preparation,” he said.
–Other achievers like Shuchismita Adhikari, the ISC Exam topper for 2023-24, Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy from IIT Bombay, who secured first rank in the IIT entrance JEE-Advanced 2023, and Jai Kumar Bohara from NLU Bangalore, who topped the CLAT law entrance exam last year, also shared their experiences and insights with students.
