Schools Closed: Barring Classes 10 and 12, no physical classes for students, says Delhi CM Atishi
Chief Minister Atishi announced on Sunday night that physical classes in Delhi schools are suspended for all except for students in classes 10 and 12. The city was chocked under alarming levels of pollution for the fifth straight day.
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked stricter pollution control measures for the Delhi-NCR under Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan, or GRAP. These measures will be effective from 8 am, Monday.
With the imposition of GRAP-4 from tmrw, physical classes shall be discontinued for all students, apart from Class 10 and 12. All schools will hold online classes, until further orders.

Delhi-NCR has been facing poor air quality for over five days.
The Haryana government on Saturday authorised deputy commissioners to temporarily shut physical classes up to Class 5 in schools in their respective districts after assessing the situation in the wake of rising pollution levels.
