Australia completed a whitewash in the T20I series against Pakistan when they defeated the Men in Green by 7 wickets in the 3rd and final match at Hobart. By doing so, the Aussies are now the team with the most consecutive T20I wins against Pakistan in 2019-2024 with 7 back to back victories.

The hosts also won the 3rd match with 52 balls to spare, the second-most for a team when playing against Pakistan. The highest deliveries remaining in a win against Pakistan was also by Australia when they won against Pakistan in Harare in 2018 with 55 balls to spare.

In the match, Pakisan suffered an almighty collapse when they went to 58/1 in the 7th over to 92/7 by the 14th over. Babar Azam top scored with 41 with the visitors wrapping up their innings with 116 runs. Chasing, Marcus Stoinis’s 61 guided Australia to an easy win in just 11.2 overs.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final Twenty20 game against Australia. The tourists rested captain Mohammad Rizwan with Salman Agha to lead in Rizwan’s absence.

Haseebullah Khan returned to the lineup, while Babar Azam opened the batting with Sahibzada Farhan. Left-arm pace bowler Jahandad Khan made his debut, replacing Naseem Shah.

For the third successive game, Australia kept faith in the same playing XI.

The hosts had a 29-run win in a rain-shortened seven-overs-a-side match in the first T20 at Brisbane, before fast bowler Spencer Johnson grabbed a career-best 5-26 and propelled Australia to a 13-run win to clinch the three-match series with a game to spare on Saturday.

Pakistan won the preceding ODI series 2-1.
