‘Arey Viru, thigh-pad diya kya?’: Rohit Sharma’s animated discussion with umpire after he was denied four vs AFG
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who hasn’t had the best luck in the series vs Afghanistan notching up 2 golden ducks in back to back matches, was at the end of a bizarre umpiring decision during the 3rd T20I when his flick off the leg side was given leg byes by the umpire.
Sharma would find out in the second over that the four wasn’t added to his total and had an animated chat with umpire Virender Sharma.

“Arey viru, thigh-pad diya kya pehla four? Bat laga tha! (Hey Viru, did you signal for the thigh pad on the first four? I hit that with my bat!),” he said to the umpire as both shared a smile.

Rohit would finally get off the mark in the second over breaking his streak of ducks in the Afghanistan series and was currently anchoring the Indian innings after they lost 4 wickets with just 22 runs on he board.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 4, Virat Kohli was gone for a golden duck, Shivam Dube got 1 while Sanju Samson was also dismissed for a duck as India were staring at a collapse.
Rohit and Rinku Singh (batting on 30) were in the middle looking to help India post a decent total.
Earlier, Sharma won the toss and elected to bat against Afghanistan in the third and final T20 International on Wednesday.
Sanju Samson, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Yadav came in for Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh and Jitesh Sharma in the Indian XI.
Afghanistan made three changes.
