Chum Darang, who has been acting for quite some time now, has entered Bigg Boss Season 18 to gain recognition. Talking about her reason for choosing the Colors reality show, she said, “It’s a very big platform. People from all age groups watch BB, and that is why I wanted to be a part of it. I have done so much work but people still don’t know me. I want them to know about me, where I come from, etc. I come from the beautiful state of Arunachal Pradesh. If I do well inside the house, they will learn more about me. That is my goal.”

When asked if she has concerns about her public image, Chum, who has won several beauty pageants, explained, “I know myself, I am a very warm person. So, I am not very worried about how I will appear. But overall, I will do good.” However, one concern she had was about being short-tempered. “I am short-tempered, but I cool down also quickly. Disrespect of any kind angers me the most. I cannot tolerate it. But yes, my anger might be a problem on the show,” she said. In a recent episode, viewers got a glimpse of Chum’s anger during her argument with Shehzada Dhami.

Having worked with Alia Bhatt, Chum Darang admires the actress a lot. Talking about her experience of working with Alia in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Chum shared, “We worked together. There were other 9 girls with me, so we didn’t get time to interact much. But I like Alia’s work. She is very hardworking. She puts everything into something that she is doing. That was impressive to watch. I like and respect Alia as an actor.”
On the work front, Chum has two web series in the pipeline. One of them might be released while she is on Bigg Boss 18. The other one is on the floors. However, bagging projects is not something that Chum fears, as she signs off saying that if she stops getting work, she will go back home and do farming.
