Bigg Boss 18: Sara and Arfeen Khan call Hrithik Roshan a ‘superhuman’, say going on the show as a couple is a ‘big disadvantage’
Bigg Boss 18 contestants have been having a lot of fun on the show in the first week. While some have managed to impress with their personalities, others have been coming across as quite fake too. Amongst the strong contenders are also Dubai-based mind coaches Arfeen Khan and his wife Sara Khan. Both Sara and Arfeen have had close connections with many Bollywood celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and even Kareena Kapoor. Before entering the house, Arfeen and Sara spoke to Indianexpress.com and shared how being on Bigg Boss as a couple can be a disadvantage.

Talking about their personalities and why they opted to participate in Bigg Boss 18, Arfeen Khan said, “I want to show people they can be powerful and strong in a very difficult environment.” His wife Sara Khan added, “I took Bigg Boss as a challenge. It’s an amazing platform on national television. It’s a test of your patience.” While Arfeen said he is straightforward, Sara revealed that she gets angry very fast. “I am not scared of saying things on the face. I am very decisive and focused,” Arfeen said, while Sara added that if someone irritates her, then she cannot control her temper.
Being mind coaches, they also said that being strong mentally is very important on a show like Bigg Boss 18. Sara said, “It’s a platform where you give people the permission to judge you, so you need to be mentally strong to bear the trolling too.” When asked about their friendships with Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor, Afreen said, “Hrithik Roshan is a superhuman. He will do what he wants to in life. Tiger is very humble despite being successful.” Sara added, “Hrithik is a superhero. He has converted all his weaknesses into strengths. Tiger is a very easy person to connect with. Kareena is very easygoing and sweet. Her screen presence is mind-blowing. She makes you very comfortable.”

In the previous seasons, couples have not fared quite well on the show. Talking about how they plan to deal with this aspect, Arfeen Khan shared, “We will play individually because only one person will win. If need be, we will stand together, but we both are in it to win it.” Sara added, “Earlier, couples have not fared well, but ultimately still stayed married so in my eyes they all fared well. This show is very challenging for couples. It can break relations. We have seen many forming relationships in the house, but never seen a couple break off after the show. Whether it was Ankita, Aishwarya, or others, they have been very strong. Even if they fought inside, they are still married now, I salute them. Arfeen and I have very different opinions, so we will play as individuals.”
However, both agree that being a couple on Bigg Boss 18 is a disadvantage. “As a couple, playing this game is a big disadvantage as you have to keep thinking about one another. Each other’s politics will come out, individually you would have one focus, but as a couple, your focus gets divided,” says Arfeen. Sara adds, “As a couple, there are a lot of disadvantages because they only target you and try to break you.”
