Bigg Boss 18’s Rajat Dalal opens up about Elvish Yadav and Maxtern’s controversy: ‘It backfired for the ones who were targeting them’
After a successful first week, Bigg Boss 18 seems to be taking a dramatic turn. Many contestants are seen fighting over the most petty things. But one contestant who has been at it from Day 1 is fitness influencer Rajat Dalal. Rajat, who is a good friend of Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, has been trying to project himself as the angry young man on the show. However, in his rage, the contestant has ended up crossing the line several times in the last few days. While anger is a weakness for Rajat, he is also known for his good deeds. One of them was to help Elvish Yadav and Maxtern patch up after their infamous fight. In an exclusive interview with Indianexpress.com, Rajat spoke about the reconciliation.
In March 2024, Elvish Yadav beat up content creator Sagar Thakur aka Maxtern along with his few friends following a misunderstanding. After this, Maxtren had also lodged an FIR against Elvish. But within a few days, Elvish and Maxtern patched up. While many thought it was a publicity stunt, Rajat, the man behind this reconciliation, shared that it was indeed a misunderstanding. He said, “If two people are fighting and one can resolve it, then why not? There was not too much negativity with it, just that people got a little less masala. It backfired for the ones who were targeting Elvish and Maxtern. Now the case is over and they are living their lives, so making them patch up was a good thing.”

When asked if he discussed Bigg Boss 18 with Elvish, Raja Dalal said, “I didn’t speak to Elvish about the offer. Even when I said yes, I didn’t tell him. After I signed the show, I just informed my friends. I felt like participating in the show. I had no competition as of now, so I chose to participate.”

Over the last few days, Rajat Dalal has showcased a major attitude problem on Bigg Boss 18. When he was asked about living with famous personalities in the Bigg Boss house, the influencer said, “Actors have their individual lives. They don’t pay my bills. It’s their life, so I don’t care much.” Viewers have been seeing Rajat lose his cool in the house at the drop of a hat, and he says, anger is a big weakness for him. He shared, “I hope I don’t lose control and end up beating someone in the house.”
Despite so much anger in him, Rajat wishes to be happy in life. When asked if being angry all the time is an extension of his personality, the Bigg Boss 18 contestant replied, “As a person, I wish to be happy. I know how to secure my rights, and I like to help people in need. I know how to look after my family. I am a good person, but it doesn’t take me too much time to turn bad. I am a very straightforward person, but being mentally strong doesn’t mean you need to be evil.”
