This year, the CBSE has implemented several changes to enhance the examination process for students. One of the key modifications is the reduction in short and long response-type questions, which is aimed at fostering a stronger emphasis on analytical and critical thinking.

Additionally, the weightage of internal assessments has been increased, now accounting for 40 per cent of the total marks, while the remaining 60 per cent will be based on the board exams. Another important change is the introduction of a mandatory 75 per cent attendance requirement for students, with provisions for exceptions in cases of illness, participation in extracurricular activities, or other valid reasons.

To ensure a higher level of security and transparency during the exams, the CBSE has also mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in all examination halls.
