CBSE Board Exams 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the board exams on February 15 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. This year, nearly 44 lakh students from both classes are expected to appear for the examination. Do I need to separately pass both practical and theory examinations in the CBSE Board?
Passing criteria is as given below:-
(a) In class 10, students are required to secure 33% marks to pass by combining marks of both theory and internal assessment.
(b) In class 12, students are required to secure 33% marks separately in theory and practical examinations.
Does CBSE repeat questions from previous years?
If any student has good knowledge of the subject then it makes no difference whether the question is old or new. Hence, prepare well and forget the rest.
How can one score 90 percent or above in CBSE board exams?

Does CBSE provide grace marks?
The board examinations are to test the knowledge of the students gained during the academic year. If a student has secured 33% marks, student is declared pass. If any student is not able to achieve 33% marks and miss out by 01 marks or so, decision may be taken to award the grace mark(s).
