
CBSE Class 10th, 12th board exams from Feb 15; over 39 lakh students register
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today (February 15) commenced the the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Students will have to mandatorily carry the CBSE admit cards to the exam centre and reach the exam centres well in advance. The CBSE exams will be held from 10:30 am. The students have been asked to reach the school at least 45 minutes before the start of the examinations, by 9:45 am. As per data shared by CBSE, this year over 39 lakh students have registered for the CBSE board exams. The exams will be held in 26 countries abroad apart from India.
The Class 10 exams will begin with the painting, Rai, Gurung, Tamang and Sherpa papers. While the painting exam will be held for two hours duration till 12:30 pm, the other four papers will be held until 1:30 pm.
The Class 12 CBSE 2024 exams will be held for physical activity trainer, entrepreneurship, Kokborok and capital market operation papers tomorrow. The physical activity trainer will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, the entrepreneurship, kokborok and capital market operation papers will be held from 10:30 to 1:30 pm.
This time, as first, students suffering from Type-1 Diabetes will be allowed to carry chocolates, fruits and snacks to the exam centre. The students will however be allowed to carry the items in a transparent pouch, the CBSE notice issued on February 8 said.
The board has also issued an advisory against the rumours and fake information about the upcoming board exams of Classes 10 and 12 and has released a list of fake handles that are using the name and/or logo of CBSE, with a view to mislead the general public on X (formerly Twitter).
As per the CBSE 2024 datasheet, the Class 10 board exams will conclude on March 13 while Class 12 exams will end on April 2.
