CBSE students carrying admit card will be given priority: Delhi Metro ahead of board exams
To ensure smooth journey of students ahead of CBSE board examinations, the Delhi Metro in an official statement has said that they will prioritise students in frisking and ticketing across the city. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will start the board examination between February 15 to April 4 for both Classes 10 and 12.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a series of measures to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel for students appearing for the exams to avoid getting late for the exams.
Approximately 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school staff will be commuting across the city using the facility. With the help of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Delhi metro will be implementing special facilitation measures at all the stations to accommodate the increased footfall on examination days.
“Students carrying their CBSE admit cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations and while purchasing tickets at ticket office machines (TOM) and customer care (CC) centres,” read the statement by DMRC.
DMRC officials visited schools, engaged with principals, and provided information about the nearest metro stations and available support for students.
Schools have been requested to display posters featuring details of the closest metro station along with a QR code to facilitate easy ticket booking, helping students plan their commute effectively.
Additionally, special centralized announcements will be made at metro stations, and a comprehensive list of metro stations near examination centers has been uploaded on the DMRC website and official mobile app for quick reference.
