
CSK Probable XI after IPL 2025 Auction: Spin to win for Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk in Ashwin-Noor-Jadeja trio
IPL Auction 2025: At the end of the IPL Mega Auction on Monday, Chennai Super Kings(CSK) got themselves a formidable squad in the quest for a sixth title next season. They retained core experienced players while forging quite a lot of reunions through fresh acquisitions from the Mega Auction 2025. Their strategy was to create a well-balanced unit by blending specialist bowlers, all-rounders and batters.
CSK’s biggest buy was the left-arm spinner from Afghanistan Noor Ahmad, who was acquired at Rs. 10 crore. The second most expensive buy was veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, at Rs 9.75 crore, who will mark a return to the Yellow Den after 10 years next edition.
CSK retained five key players before the auction, led by talisman MS Dhoni, who continues to be the heart of the franchise. The retained core includes skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (Rs 18 crore), star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (Rs 18 crore), pacer Matheesha Pathirana (Rs 13 crore), and all-rounder Shivam Dube (Rs 12 crore).
They bought back Kiwi opener Devon Conway at Rs 6.25 to have stability in the top order besides other smart buys.
