CUET PG 2024: New test centres added at Gurugram, Srinagar
CUET PG 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has added two new test cities for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) 2024. The new test cities are Gurugram in Haryana and Srinagar.
“Requests have been received from candidates and other stakeholders to add more test cities for convenience of the candidates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to add 02 more Cities as Examination Centre for CUET (PG) – 2024,” the official NTA notification stated.
Those candidates who have already submitted their application forms can edit the city of examination centre when the correction window is open. “The NTA will make efforts to allot city of examination to the candidates as opted by them. The test centre will be allotted based on the Correspondence Address or Permanent Address given by the candidate in their Application Form. The decision of the NTA regarding allotment of Centre City shall be final,” the NTA stated.
Earlier, the NTA had reduced the number of exam city centres for the CUET PG 2024 examination from 337 in 2023 to 300 in India. The total number of exam centre cities including the centres outside India is 324.
This time, the NTA has also changed the CUET PG website. The CUET PG official website is now pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.
Additionally, the NTA has increased the registration fees for all categories by Rs 200 compared to last year. Candidates belonging to the general category will have to pay Rs 1,200 and those under OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS will have to pay Rs 1,000. Candidates had to pay Rs 500 for additional test papers last year. However, this year they will have to pay Rs 600 for each extra test paper they wish to appear. Applicants outside India applying for upto two tests will have to pay Rs 6,000 and Rs 2,000 for additional papers. Earlier, it was Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.
