GATE 2024: Watch these videos by IISc before you appear for exam
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. This time, the exam conducting body has released two videos on mental health for the aspirants.
These nearly one-and-a-half minute short videos, shot at the IISc campus, show students exercising, playing cricket, reading books or taking a walk. It also includes motivational lines like ‘result is not the end, it is a chance to grow’ and ‘you are stronger than you think you are’.
“The Covid-19 pandemic had an enormous impact on the students. Competitive exams can be quite stressful to candidates. Every now and then, we keep hearing unfortunate news about candidates resorting to extreme measures because of examination stress or because they did not qualify a certain exam. At GATE, we would like to promote a healthy competition among the candidates. We place overall individual wellness, both physical and mental, above success in an examination. Hence, we got those wellness videos filmed and posted them on our social media,” said Chandra Sekhar Seelamantula from the GATE 2024 organising team.
The second video guides you for a healthy lifestyle — wake up early, meditate, eat wholesome breakfast, stay active, exercise or play sports.
It further suggests GATE aspirants to take help, study strategically, connect with friends and don’t remain isolated. Furthermore, the video highlights the importance of a good sleep, indulging in activities that one is passionate and more.
The videos are available on the official Youtbe channel @GATE24Official.
