
IIT GATE, JAM 2025: Due to Mahakumbh, exam centres for those in Prayagraj shifted to Lucknow
The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), the GATE 2025 organising institute, on Sunday, issued a notice informing about the change in the examination centres for those appearing from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, IIT Delhi too has announced a change in exam centre.
Due to the large congregation at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 aspirants, will have to appear for their examination in Lucknow.
IIT Roorkee has also issued fresh admit cards for the candidates who will now be appearing for GATE in the Lucknow centres. “GATE-2025 exam centres changed to Lucknow for candidates who were earlier allotted Prayagraj for 15th and 16th February 2025 amid Mahakumbh. The candidates are advised to download the freshly released admit cards from the GOAPS portal,” reads the official notification.
IIT Roorkee is conducting GATE 2025 on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025 and the answer key will be released this month. GATE results will be announced in March. Earlier, IIT Roorkee had also changed the examination centre for candidates appearing in Prayagraj for the February 1 and 2 examinations.
