Jigra box office collection day 2: Alia Bhatt’s film earns over Rs 11 crore despite negative reviews
Jigra box office collection day 2: Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s film Jigra made quite the noise with its trailer. The fans were very excited to see Alia in an action-packed avatar in this jailbreak drama, and Vedang too looked promising in the initial glimpses. However, when Jigra was released on October 11, the film failed to impress critics and the audience. As per several reviews, Jigra failed to impress at both the story level and performances. At the box office, the film has had a decent start. On its day 1, Jigra managed to collect Rs 4.55 crore. On day 2 (Saturday), the film’s collection saw a spike.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, early estimates for Jigra suggest that the film managed to get into the double-digit zone on its second day. While this is Alia Bhatt’s lowest box office opener in a decade, the negative reviews and controversies can further affect Jigra’s run at the box office.
