Actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to return to the big screens with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, some months after the box office failure of Chandu Champion, for which he dedicated almost two years and underwent extreme physical training. Recently, the actor recalled the challenges of shooting for other projects after finishing the shoot for Chandu Champion. Kartik said that he had developed a more subtle performance style, which shocked his Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 director Anees Bazmee. “Wake up, Kartik,” the filmmaker told him after he delivered his first shot for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik Aaryan recalled, “After Chandu Champion, I went on the sets of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I was doing everything in extreme subtle way. My voice was calm. When Anees Bazmee took the first shot, he was shocked. He was like ‘Kartik, wake up, this is a different world’. It took me a few days to get back into Bhool Bhulaiyaa zone. I was engrossed in Chandu Champion.”

Speaking about the upcoming horror-comedy, Kartik Aaryan shared the film is going to be bigger and spookier. He said, “This time we have bigger budget. This was a huge difference.” The actor recalled challenging Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was, because of its lower budget and the uncertainty surrounding the audience’s response. He said, “Last time, it was a task to shoot. The audience wasn’t even sure why we were making the sequel, and they felt this is not going to work. However, I am glad, Bhushan sir and Anees Bazmee believed in the project and made it somehow.”

“With the third installment, I am hoping we get good returns for the efforts and money we have put in it. I believe the third part has more horror than the second, which we are unable to reveal in teasers and trailer, but you will see it all in the film,” added the actor.

Kartik Aaryan further revealed how the response for the second film was surreal, and its success has built a pressure on him to do better. He said, “I am excited for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The kind of reaction the film’s teaser has received, it has given us all a great validation. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will shock a lot of people. It has that value in it. You will go with some kind of expectations, which I hope we meet. There will be a lot of unexpected things in the film. You will have fun. A lot of characters will be reprising roles. Its same and different at the same time. Its much bigger.”

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will also star Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Ashwini Kalsekar, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, and Vijay Raaz, among others. The film is set to release on November 1, alongside Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer film Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, among others.
