Maharashtra RTE Admissions 2025: The Maharashtra Right to Education (RTE) released the selection list for the 2025-26 admissions. Parents who applied under the 25 per cent reservation quota against the economically weaker and disadvantaged groups will receive SMS notifications on their registered mobile numbers when the selection list is released. In the Pune district alone, there are 61,687 applications for 18,507 available seats across 960 schools. The RTE admission process, overseen by the Directorate of Primary Education, allows eligible students to gain free admission to private schools. The state government reimburses these schools for the fees of the students enrolled under this programme.

To verify the Maharashtra RTE Admissions documents of students selected through the lottery, verification committees have been formed under the supervision of Group Education Officers and Administrative Officers.

These committees will conduct an initial assessment of the documents submitted by parents. Upon successful verification, the student’s admission will be recorded online, and a provisional allotment letter will be issued. The final confirmation of admission will take place after the document verification process is completed.

Parents must complete the verification process within the designated timeframe. If they fail to do so, they will be given two additional opportunities. Admissions obtained through false information will be cancelled at any stage of the process.
