Fashion designer Masaba Gupta and her actor-husband Satyadeep Misra have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. They shared the news with a joint post on Instagram, writing, “Our very special little girl arrived on a very special day. 11.10.2024. Masaba & Satyadeep.” Their post also carried a picture of the baby’s feet. Masaba is the daughter of actor Neena Gupta and cricketing icon Vivian Richards. She tied the knot with Satyadeep in January 2023.

Their Instagram post resembled a water colour painting of a moon and a blooming lotus. Several of their well-wishers wrote congratulatory comments under their post. “Congratulations @instasattu,” wrote Priyamani, while actor Sonam Kapoor commented, “I’m so excited and happy.” “God bless, congratulations!” wrote Smriti Irani, while Dia Mirza commented, “Welcome to our world baby girl.”

Masaba and Satyadeep announced her pregnancy in April. They’d written in a social media post, “In other news – Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings, and banana chips (plain salted ONLY).” Masaba’s mother, actor Neena Gupta, had commented, “Humare bacchon ka baccha aane Wala hai. Isse zyada Khushi ki baat Kya ho sakti hai (My children are about to have a child. What could be a happier news?)”

In addition to her primary profession as a fashion designer, Masaba has also dabbled in acting. She headlined the semi-autobiographical Netflix series Masaba Masaba for two seasons, and also appeared in Dhruv Sehgal’s entry in the Modern Love: Mumbai anthology. Satyadeep has appeared in films such as Bombay Velvet and Vikram Vedha, and in shows such as Tanaav.
