Nandamuri Balakrishna reunites with Boyapati Srinu for Akhanda 2
Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu are undoubtedly one of the most explosive combinations in Telugu cinema. Now, they are set to take this combination to the next level by collaborating for a pan-Indian project. Titled Akhanda 2, this project is set to be the direct sequel to the 2021 film, which was hugely successful at the box-office. Akhanda 2 marks the fourth collaboration between the duo after Legend, Simha, and Akhanda.

Backed by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta’s 14 Reels Plus banner, photos and videos from the launch of the film has gone viral on social media. In the video, the makers can the auspicious first shot of the film, which has Balakrishna spout a lengthy fiery dialogue at a stretch. We also see Pragya Jaiswal, who played a pivotal role in the first part, standing alongside Balayya, and it points to her presence in the direct sequel too. The film, which starred Balayya in double roles, also featured a lot of spiritual elements, centred on Lord Shiva. Even in the poster of the sequel, we see the caption ‘Thandavam’, referring to the dance of Shiva, and two Damarukams, which are all embossed on the backdrop of the Himalayas.
Composer Thaman, whose stellar work in the first part became the talk of the town, returns for Akhanda 2, which will have editing by Tammiraju, and cinematography by Santoshh D Detakae and C Ramprasad.

Apart from Akhanda 2, Nandamuri Balakrishna is also currently working on Bobby Koli’s NBK 109, which marks Bollywood actor Bobby Deol’s debut in Telugu.
