NEET UG 2024: How to retain better, practice questions and learn NCERT?
— Rohit Gupta
NEET UG 2024: NCERTs play an important role in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) preparation. All the chapters and topics in the NCERT have a vital role in covering the NEET UG syllabus. NEET UG applicants can prepare for the exam by planning the chapters with interlinked topics. Students can plan the revision of these connected topics in a lap.
Here are tips and tricks on ways to retain better, practice questions and strategies to learn NCERT:
How to retain better? Each NCERT data must be well-memorised. Names of scientists and summaries given at the end of the chapters play an important role. Students can make mnemonics of their own for example. NEET UG aspirants can memorise topics by forming a connective reason within the topic, linkages among the subheads and form examples.
How to practice questions? If NEET UG aspirants are not able to solve 80 per cent of the questions after learning chapters then they must reconsider going through the chapters again. One can solve questions from mock tests and practice papers after every chapter is done. A good preparation strategy would be to give NEET mock tests once a week so that one knows what is left to be done and what needs more practice or requires more attention.

How to learn NCERT? A student must learn each statement with a view of why and how. Each statement must be read in connection to the preceding and next statement.
The true and false questions make a big difference in scoring in NEET. Students must learn every concept minutely so that these questions are answered correctly.
Assertion and reason types of questions require practice. Mock tests, previous year questions and sample papers play a big role to refine this area.
NEET UG 2024 application will likely begin in February. NEET UG exam date is May 5, 2024.
