Former actor and writer Twinkle Khanna, also known by her pen name Mrs Funny Bones, regularly lives up to that title. Twinkle often shares quirky anecdotes about her husband, Akshay Kumar, and their two children, son Aarav and daughter Nitara. Twinkle took to Instagram on Friday to share a funny video that showcases her chemistry with Akshay, and notes the ways in which they enjoy embarrassing their children.

Twinkle Khanna has often spoken about her style of parenting, and her latest post is just as relatable as the ones that she has shared before. She wrote, “Why walk when you can dance? The added benefit? A chance to embarrass your kids. But let’s face it, once they hit their teenage years, just your existence is enough to mortify them. The post attracted a lot of engagement in the comments section. “I don’t know why but kids get embarrassed on every choti choti baat, but I tell them when they are our age unko bhi ghanta farak nahi parega????????,” wrote a fan. Another person posted, “How Cute ???? keep your inner child always alive ❤️???? keep dancing ????????????.” A third fan posted, “They feel embarrassing by my husband’s PJ’s among relatives ????????.”

On her son Aarav’s birthday in September, Twinkle wrote a heartwarming note that read, “Happy birthday Aarav! When I used to listen to you repeatedly tell me how much you were looking forward to your independence, I would feel that when you finally leave my home and step into your own, my lights will go off automatically and my world will be filled with a bleak darkness. When you would return for a visit, I would light numerous diyas and pretend that this was not a permanent power failure; we were just celebrating Diwali. But I didn’t realise then that someone who lives in your heart never leaves even when they change their longitude. My world lights up with every phone call, and every message, even if it’s about dirty laundry.”

Akshay and Twinkle have been married for 23 years. The couple fell in love during the making of International Khiladi and Zulmi in 1999. They got married on January 17, 2001, and welcomed their son Aarav in 2002, followed by their daughter Nitara in 2012.
