UGC NET Result December 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will likely announce the UGC NET December 2024 results in the next two days, confirms a source. The UGC NET December 2024 results will be out by Friday, Feb 21, a source told The Indian Express. When announced, the UGC NET December 2024 results can be accessed and downloaded from the official website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The exams were conducted from January 3 to 27. The provisional answer key was made available on February 1, with candidates allowed to raise objections until February 3.

The exam took place in two shifts across 284 cities, with more than 6,49,490 candidates participating, resulting in an overall attendance rate of 76.5 per cent.

Once the UGC NET 2025 results are released, candidates can download their scorecards from the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To access the results, candidates will need their application number, date of birth, and security pin.

According to the past year trends of UGC NET result timelines, results have generally been declared within 30 to 40 days after the last date of the examination.

For the June 2024 session exam, the last exam date was Sep 4, with the answer key releasing on Sep 11, and the results declared on Oct 17.

For Dec 2023, the last exam date was Dec 19, the answer key was released on Jan 18, and the results were declared on Jan 19.

In June 2023, the last exam date was June 22, the answer key was released by July 6, and the results were announced on July 25.

The UGC NET is held twice a year, in June and December, for the appointment of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and admissions to PhD programmes.
