Use Metro, reach centre by 10 am: CBSE’s board exam advisory amid traffic curbs in Delhi
With Class 10 and 12 board exams begin today (February 15) , CBSE has advised students in Delhi to set out on time, use Metro services and arrive at the exam centre by 10 am, considering possible transport-related difficulties.
The national capital and parts of the NCR have seen traffic jams on account of security restrictions and barricading along the borders after farmers from Punjab began their ‘Dilli Chalo’ march on Tuesday. Singhu and Tikri borders near Haryana have been sealed.
A total of 5,80,192 students will be appearing for the exams at 877 centres in Delhi. The exams will begin at 10.30 am.
“Considering the situation in Delhi, transport-related issues are likely due to which delays in reaching exam centres can be expected. Students are advised to leave their homes early so they can reach centres on time as per guidelines,” the CBSE said in a note on Wednesday.
Class X exams will begin with painting, and Rai, Gurung, Sherpa, and Tamang language papers on Thursday.
