Vettaiyan deleted scene out: Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil banter over right, wrong, and a lot of love
One of the highlights of Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan was undoubtedly the presence of Fahadh Faasil in a playful role. The TJ Gnanavel film marked the maiden collaboration between both these actors, and entire sequences were hinged on their chemistry. While Rajinikanth played the role of a no-nonsense cop Athiyan, Fahadh played Patrick, a thief-turned-police informant. Even though the movie received mixed response from critics and audiences alike, one of the most overwhelming unifying positive factors was Fahadh’s performance.
On Tuesday, Lyca Productions, the makers of Vettaiyan, released a deleted scene from the film. The scene features a playful banter between Athiyan and his beloved ‘Battery’ and it wonderfully showcases the brilliant chemistry of the actors. The scene received a lot of plaudits, and many even questioned the makers for cutting out such a heartwarming scene that would have better established the equation between these two characters.
