Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video makers issue public apology to Maddock Films for unauthorized use of Stree reference in film

Actor Rajkummar Rao was having a great run at the box office until his latest release Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The comedy film, directed by Raaj Shaandiliya and also starring Triptii Dimri in the lead role, has been panned by critics for its overdose of cheap jokes that don’t get funny after a point. The makers of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video have now courted controversy due to the unauthorized reference to the hit franchise Stree in the Dussehra release.

In the film, the makers used some dialogues and character references from the hit film Stree, and turns out that they had neither informed not taken any permission for the same from producer Dinesh Vijan. Following the flak the team received, director Raaj Shaandiliya took to X and issued a public apology to Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films for his mistake.
