Vishwambhara teaser: To make the occasion of Dasara (Vijayadashami) even more special for the fans of Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, the makers of his upcoming film Vishwambhara unveiled the movie’s official teaser, providing a glimpse into its enchanting and fantastical world. The 92-second promo video opens by showing an unfamiliar landscape splashed with colours and inhabited by creatures that seem to blend characteristics of various animals.

Then we see a massive bolt of light streaking across the sky and upon landing, it transforms into a man with sharp eyes filled with evil. “Although the darkness engulfing the universe is spreading, it doesn’t mean light won’t emerge,” a voiceover declares, emphasising that a powerful force will rise to take on the evil. As the mysterious and mystical land gears up for the ultimate war between good and evil, we see Chiranjeevi arriving on a winged horse. The promo further offers a sneak peek into its action sequences, showcasing Chiranjeevi single-handedly battling his rivals. The teaser concludes with Chiranjeevi standing before a statue of Lord Hanuman, wielding a massive gada (mace), suggesting that his character possesses divine powers.

Penned and helmed by Mallidi Vassishta, Vishwambhara marks his sophomore directorial venture after the hit fantasy actioner Bimbisara (2022), starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon, Vivan Bhatena and Prakash Raj in key roles. Produced by Vamsi, Pramod, Vikram and under the banner of UV Creations, Vishwambhara’s music has been crafted by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani.

Vishwambhara’s cast also includes Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Ashika Ranganath. The film’s director of photography (DOP) is Chota K Naidu, while AS Prakash serves as the production designer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy handle editing. Earlier this year, the makers had announced that the film will hit the screens on January 10, 2025. However, the same has not been mentioned in the new teaser, making one wonder if they are planning a change in the release date.
