Would the difficulty level of question papers be higher than last year? CBSE answers

CBSE Board Exams 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin the board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 students on February 15.  Many students are concerned about how to achieve scores above 90 per cent, what types of questions will be included in the board exams, and how many hours of study are important to score above average marks.

To solve your issues, indianexpress.com, shared some questions with the CBSE to simplify your board exams 2025’s journey.

Generally, the difficulty level of the question papers remains the same. To nullify the effect of difficulty level, if any, CBSE releases sample question papers in all subjects offered at the beginning of the academic session. These papers help the students in planning for the preparations of examinations.

No, this is not correct as with any examination. Marks are awarded only for correct and relevant replies given by the candidates.

–CBSE has a responsive system for the evaluation of answer books. There are standard operating procedures which are followed strictly by all involved in the evaluation process.

–CBSE is developing a marking scheme in all subjects comprising all possible answers. Additionally, each question has some value points based on the marks assigned to each question which are essential in the reply and thus marks are awarded on the same.

–The evaluation team is given training on the marking scheme before the start of the evaluation for correct and objective evaluation.

The Grade “ E”, if any student is awarded the same, the candidate is placed under the “Essential Repeat” Category.

Any student needs to take the following actions:- –Check the location of the examination centre. –Make a plan to leave the home in such a way so that the candidate can reach the examination centre before the reporting time i.e. 10: 00 am. –Check and read the instructions mentioned on the admit card and strictly follow the same. –Carry only the permitted items to the examination centre. –Do not carry mobile and smart watches etc to the examination centre.

The time required for the exam preparations depends on the readiness of the students for the examinations. If a student is not properly ready for the examinations, more time needs to be devoted.

Generally, it has been observed that if a student is attending classes regularly in the school and following the instructions given by the teachers would be always ready for the examinations with little preparation, while if a student is not attending classes regularly, more time for preparations will be required.

It is now advised that every student should focus irrespective of their preparations as gap given between the exam of two subjects is more than sufficient to prepare well for the examinations.
